The Spain 35 index is the main benchmark for the Spanish stock market, Bolsa de Madrid. SPA35 was initially introduced in 1992 and it measures the performance of the 35 most liquid stocks listed in the Madrid Stock Exchange General Index. As a capitalization weighted index, it is reviewed twice a year (January and July). The top 35 companies with the highest trading volume in Euros during the last 6 months are included in the index.
