The Netherlands 25 index is a free float market capitalization weighted index that reflects the performance of the 25 largest and most actively traded shares listed on Euronext Amsterdam. It is the most widely used indicator of the Dutch stock market. As a capitalization weighted index, it is reviewed on a quarterly basis, with a full annual review taking place in March. Adjustments to the index are applied only if any of the ingredient companies have been removed from the group or if an independent company ranks within the top 15 companies with the higher share turnover, over the last 12 months.
