Litecoin is the third most famous cryptocurrency, after Ethereum and Bitcoin. It was initially released in 2011. It is technically based on the model of Bitcoin however it provides 75% less block generation rate than Bitcoin and four times more coin supply than Bitcoin. Market capitalization of Litecoin is around $10 billion as of January 2018.
